It was great to see @saidthewhale tonight. @madupmichelle and I loved the show. Congrats guys on your cross canada tour with @mothermothermusic and the release of your new album #cascadia #saidthewhale. The album is great, has tons of heart and features some real banger tracks.
Home for me
A place that's familiar but, foreign. Pigeons eating handfulls of seeds off the sidewalk. Merchant shops selling remedies and deserts and dried fish. Primary colors made vibrant by a low sun casting long shadows. Through open windows inside of buildings with flickering neon lights, I hear mahjong tiles and laughing and heated discussions in languages I'll never learn. The hot summer air carry's a cool breeze now, a bit of relief. I'm waiting for a bus, it's late, or I'm late. I've climbed into the mountains before. I know the way, after the paved road ends and your senses sharpen and consequences become more tangible. Nerves set in, a bit, but I'm up for it. Alone? Not completely, the dog is here. It's a wild place, but calming. Not for everyone, but for some it becomes easier to breath. Focus takes hold and the noise goes.
